Sunday Groups

LITTLE LAMBS

provides somewhere for babies & toddlers (ages 0-4) every 1st, 3rd and 4th Sunday.  The youngsters leave during the first hymn and return to be taken up for a blessing during communion.  The children learn songs and hear Bible stories

Sunday School is held at 9.20am every 1st, 3rd and 4th Sunday  for those aged 4-9 years who enjoy games and  craft activities to learn more about God and the Bible.

The GO GENERATION

9.20 am every 1st, 3rd and 4th Sunday for children aged 8 - 11 years. We are learning about our Christian faith through craft and other activities, and through teaching, discussion and response.

Renamed the Go Generation in December 2008, reflecting that they are a a people on the move - it takes but the addition of a letter D to tell you where they are going to.

THE ROCK

A games and discussion group for 11 - 18 year olds who want to find out more about God.

Takes place during the 9.20am service every 1st, 3rd and 4th Sunday

ACTIVITY BAGS

with quiet activities for children to play with during the service - are found in the cupboard in the soft seating area for children to use during the services.


Children are welcomed at all our services and they are encouraged to receive a special blessing

UpFront Services

Once a month, normally on the second Sunday of the month we have a lay led All-Age Family service of the Word designed to meet the needs of families with young children.  The service usually lasts about 45 minutes
and afterwards refreshments are served in church.

9.20am 2nd Sunday in the month

Toys

A bag of toys is always available for your child to play with during the service - to be found in the cupboard next to the soft seating area at the back of the church

After the Service

DRINKS AFTER THE SERVICE

After the service for every service at St John's, squash and biscuits for children are provided in the soft seating area and there are activities to entertain the children.

every 31st October

Lots to do and enjoy

Toddler Church

Parents with babies and toddlers are warmly invited to a short 20 minute informal service followed by coffee or squash and biscuits and time to socialise.
Toddlers' service Thursdays  10:30am - 12 noon in St John's Church

stories … songs … prayers … the chance of a chat with other parents and a cup of coffee…

Ever thought about ringing the bells? Would you like to ring?  Our lively team of bellringers always welcome newcomers - and especially young people who are interested in learning to ring the bells.
